BEAUFORT, Sc. – The Beaufort Digital Corridor is calling all artists, designers and fans of the classic film ‘Forrest Gump.’ The corridor will be hosting a 5K event, named ‘Run Forrest Run,’ and is inviting entries for its T-shirt design contest.
The winning design will not only cash in a prize of $300 but also the honor of seeing their art worn by participants in the run. The organizers are looking for designs that fuse the charm of the movie ‘Forrest Gump’ with a passion for running through the ever-enticing Lowcountry.
Those interested in participating have until August 31st to submit their designs. Contestants must prioritize blending the appeal of the iconic film with the beauty and essence of running in the Lowcountry landscape.
After the deadline, a panel will evaluate the submissions, and the chosen winning design will be announced, which will be printed on the official T-shirts for the Run Forrest Run 5K. The winner will also receive a cash reward of $300.
The ‘Run Forrest Run’ 5K event, organized by the Beaufort Digital Corridor, is inspired by the legendary movie ‘Forrest Gump,’ especially the sequence where Forrest starts running and doesn’t stop. Much like Forrest’s journey, this run will show participants the charm of the Lowcountry, as they make their way through the scenic course.
Details regarding the date, time, and venue of the Run Forrest Run 5K event will be announced soon. Participants in the run will be gifted a T-shirt with the winning design, making this a unique opportunity for artists and designers to showcase their work to a wide audience.
