In Augusta, Georgia, a body was discovered in the Savannah River, which had been unidentified for the past week, is now confirmed to be that of 38-year-old Jermaine Pate from Georgiana, Alabama.

Richmond County Coroner’s Office made the confirmation yesterday, a week after the body was found in the river on the morning of July 19. Pate’s remains were sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) lab for autopsy as per the Coroner’s direction.
