West Columbia, S.C. – Residents are being urged to stay vigilant following a recent attempt to break into an ATM at Security Federal Bank, which took place on the evening of Saturday, September 21. The West Columbia Police Department is seeking assistance from the local community to help track down the individuals involved.
According to reports, around 8 p.m., officers responded to an alarm that was triggered at the bank’s location at 1185 Sunset Boulevard. Upon their arrival, they discovered that the ATM had been damaged in what appeared to be an attempt to gain unauthorized access.
West Columbia police were able to gather some valuable insights from security camera footage that captured the incident. According to the department, it seems at least two suspects were involved in this brazen attempt at the ATM. However, their identities remain unknown.
