Alabama to Headline Southern BBQ Showdown at Segra Park

COLUMBIA, S.C. – Award-winning country band ‘Alabama’ set to perform at Segra Park

Renowned country music band Alabama will be headed to Segra Park for the first ever Southern BBQ Showdown this summer. The band, with 43 #1 singles and over 178 awards to their name, including two Grammys, will be the headliner of the first-of-its-kind competition.

Southern BBQ Showdown at Segra Park

The inaugural Southeastern BBQ Showdown will be held June 14-15 at Segra Park. The Capital City/Lake Murray County Regional Tourism Board (CCLMC) announced the two day celebration in 2023, claiming the event to be the first food sport competition to grace a sports stadium in the United States.

The competition will offer visitors and BBQ fans many opportunities to learn from the pros and sample BBQ from 25 different teams. Guests can expect a fun-filled event with delicious food, live music, and a chance to witness some of the best BBQ talents in the region.
