Columbia, S.C. is buzzing with excitement as two incredibly charming kittens are ready to find their forever home. Meet Amy and Garland, a delightful bonded pair of female kittens who are around 4 to 5 months old and have captured the hearts of everyone at their temporary home, Pawmetto Lifeline.
Not too long ago, these kittens were just tiny strays roaming the streets, sick and in need of help. They were discovered by a Good Samaritan, who noticed them along with three other kittens, and immediately took action. The situation was dire, and Pawmetto Lifeline wasn’t even sure if these tiny furballs would pull through. Thankfully, a fantastic foster mom stepped in to provide the care they desperately needed.
This inspiring act of kindness showcases the incredible difference that fostering can make. The fosters were determined to nurse Amy, Garland, and their siblings back to health, and thanks to their commitment, the kittens bounced back from their illnesses, proving that every bit of love and care can work wonders!
While these adorable kittens have overcome many hurdles, they do have a few health challenges that set them apart from other kittens. As a result of untreated upper respiratory infections in their early days, both kittens have some eye issues. Amy unfortunately has a corneal rupture in her left eye and will soon have to undergo surgery to have it removed.
Garland’s left eye is closely monitored, as there are concerns about a possible rupture too. However, the good news is that it may just be scarred, which means Garland could retain her eye but with some blurry vision. Even with these challenges, it’s heartwarming to see how these kittens are completely unaffected by their unique appearances. They don’t know they look a little different from other kittens, and that certainly doesn’t impact their playful spirits!
Currently, Amy and Garland are keeping things lively at Pawmetto Lifeline, where they enjoy roaming around the administrative offices, delighting the staff with their antics. These delightful kittens are not just cute; they are also affectionate and playful! Garland has a funny habit of carrying her toys in her mouth, which never fails to bring a smile to those who see her in action.
Both kittens are sociable and love being held and snuggled. After they exhaust all their energy playing, they naturally cuddle up in laps to nap. It truly melts your heart to witness how sweet and loving they are! You could find your new best friends just waiting to be loved.
If you’re interested in bringing this lovable duo into your life, you can meet Amy and Garland during Pawmetto Lifeline’s walk-in adoption hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. You can also schedule an appointment during the week to ensure you have a chance to meet them.
Excitingly, Amy and Garland come with a reduced adoption fee of just $50. This fee covers their spay/neuter, microchip, and up-to-date vaccines. In order to make the process smoother, it’s a great idea to complete an adoption application online before you visit.
These adorable kittens are longing for a loving home where they can shower their new family with all the love they have to offer. Will you be the one to welcome Amy and Garland into your life? They’re ready to bring joy, laughter, and love into your home!
