This year, the American Cancer Society took the opportunity to shine a light on the fight against breast cancer during their annual event known as the ‘Ann Riley Pink Tea’. On the morning of October 3, the cozy yet vibrant gathering took place at the scenic Trinity Episcopal Cathedral. “Access to health care shouldn’t be a privilege,” Pugh stated emphatically. “With the expansion of Medicaid, many more South Carolinians could have the peace of mind that comes with knowing they can get the help they need.” He emphasized that ensuring everyone has access to the necessary screenings and treatments not only saves lives but improves the overall health of our community.
