Students selecting prom attire at Cinderella Project Boutique Event

News Summary

The Cinderella Project 2025 is here to make prom dreams a reality for high school students in the Midlands. The initiative provides formal attire donations for those in need, ensuring they can attend prom with confidence. With several boutique events scheduled in February and March, students can select their outfits and participate in a supportive environment. Donations are accepted until February 20, 2025, and all high schoolers with a valid ID can attend the events to find the perfect attire for their special night.

Exciting News for Midlands High School Students!

Attention all high school students in the Midlands: the highly anticipated Cinderella Project 2025 is officially underway, and it’s here to help you make prom dreams come true! This initiative, running for an impressive 23 years, is all about ensuring that students who might be feeling the financial pinch can still dress to impress for the big night. Who doesn’t want to walk into prom looking like royalty?

Making Dreams Come True with Donations

The South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division is leading the charge by accepting donations of formal attire. This means you can help alleviate some of the financial stress that comes with preparing for prom. So, gather up those fancy dresses, suits, shoes, purses, jewelry, and accessories that you no longer need! Whether they’re new or gently used, your donations can make a world of difference for local teens.

Drop-off Details

Mark your calendars, because you have until February 20, 2025, to donate your formal wear at various locations throughout the Columbia area. This is your chance to clear out your closet and add a little sparkle to someone else’s prom experience.

Get Ready for the Boutique Events!

The first boutique event, where students can pick out their desired attire, is set for February 22, 2025. Located at Brookland Baptist Church on 1066 Sunset Blvd, West Columbia, the event will run from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.. And that’s just the start! Two more events are lined up to give students from across the region the chance to shine:

  • March 1, 2025: First Presbyterian Church, 650 Summer Ave., Orangeburg, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • March 22, 2025: Love Covenant Church, 245 Oswego Hwy, Sumter, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

To attend these boutique events, students simply need to be enrolled in a Midlands-area high school and show a valid student ID. Easy peasy, right?

A Cozy and Supportive Experience

One of the unique facets of the Cinderella Project is its focus on creating a positive shopping experience. Friendly volunteers will be there to assist students with fittings and styling, ensuring everyone finds something that makes them feel confident and fabulous for their special night.

A Fantastic Milestone

In 2019 alone, the Cinderella Project managed to help over 800 students find their perfect outfits, thanks to the hard work of more than 250 volunteers. It’s heartwarming to see how communities come together to support their young adults during such memorable times!

Additional Items and Helping Out

For those who want to contribute a little extra, there’s an Amazon Wish List available for donations. You can find items like makeup, jewelry, and gift cards to round out the perfect prom night. This opportunity promotes the idea of making a student’s evening even more spectacular with just a few small gestures from the community.

Act Fast!

One thing to keep in mind is that the events will operate on a first-come, first-served basis, and no pre-registration is required. So, jump into action and get ready to grab the best outfits while they last!

With prom season on the horizon, the Cinderella Project 2025 is steadfast in its commitment to ensuring that all students have the chance to dazzle and shine at their special events. It’s a wonderful opportunity not just for those attending prom, but for everyone in the Midlands to come together and make a positive difference. So, whether you’re donating or attending, mark those dates and get involved—let’s make this prom an unforgettable experience!
