The atmosphere will be enriched with lovely musical performances by talented singers Trudy Wilson and Rhoda Paschal, who will be accompanied by the enchanting sounds of harpist Cayli Boyle.
Delicious Treats to Enjoy
No celebration is complete without some tasty treats! Guests can look forward to light refreshments that will include steaming cups of hot chocolate, mouth-watering cookies, and festive candy canes. And guess what? This delightful evening is absolutely free of charge and open to everyone, with no need for reservations. Just bring your holiday spirit!
Giving Back – A Call for Donations
In the spirit of generosity, the first family is encouraging guests to consider bringing along some pet food, litter, or toys to donate to the wonderful Pawmetto Lifeline. This organization is dedicated to helping pets in need, so your contributions would go a long way in making this holiday season brighter for our furry friends. Donation items will be accepted right at the entrance of the Governor’s Mansion.
A Beautifully Decorated Mansion
The festive decorations at the mansion are nothing short of spectacular! Each year, the Columbia Garden Club plays a big role in transforming the mansion with Christmas cheer, and they’ve been hard at work decorating since earlier this week. Look out for stunning Christmas trees from Penland Christmas Tree Farm in York, S.C., along with vibrant poinsettias provided by the students of Gilbert High School’s Future Farmers of America.
Iconic Gingerbread Display
Make sure to check out an adorable gingerbread house that replicates Charleston’s iconic Pineapple Fountain – it’s sure to be a showstopper!
